Blaine County Jail Mugshots
Blaine County publishes booking photos on the current detention roster and the recent-arrests feed. Each visible roster entry can include a public mugshot thumbnail above the person's name, along with age, hometown, offense text, arresting agency, booking date, and status. The current roster is reached through the county's Detention Roster page or the county-linked direct roster. The recent-arrests feed is reached through the county's Recent Arrests page.
The photo shown online is a single front-facing booking thumbnail. No multiple-angle gallery, profile click-through, or downloadable photo set was observed. The current roster shows people in current custody. Recent arrests can show booking photos for people in a recent date range, including people with a release date. That recent-arrests feed is important when the person was booked and released before the current roster is checked.

Find Blaine County Booking Photos
The lookup path is direct but manual. The roster has no name-search form, sort tool, filter, export, or individual profile button. Use the roster timestamp first, then browser find or scrolling. If the person was booked during the recent window and released, the Recent Arrests page may still show the photo and release time even when the current roster no longer lists the person.
- Open the Blaine County Detention Roster or the direct county-linked roster iframe.
- Read the timestamp and result count so the custody list is not mistaken for an older record.
- Scroll or use browser find for the last name. The booking photo appears above the name when the photo is published.
- Check the Recent Arrests feed if the person may have been booked and released in the recent date window.
- Use the sheriff records process for a booking photo that is not online, giving the full name, approximate booking date, arresting agency, and any case or warrant number.

That feed is the better place to look when the booking was recent but the person may no longer be in the current jail population.
Blaine County Mugshot Record Fields
A Blaine County booking photo appears beside a small public field set. These fields help confirm identity and custody context, but they are not the full case file. The roster does not show a full date of birth, bond amount, court date, housing unit, full address, profile detail page, or case link. Court charge records must be checked separately when the formal charge matters. For custody and booking details beyond the online fields, use the sheriff records path or the jail phone line.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Booking photo | Single front-facing mugshot thumbnail; no multiple views were observed. |
| Name | Uppercase public roster name, usually last name first. |
| Age | Age in years; date of birth is not published on the roster. |
| Hometown | City/state/ZIP or city/state when the field is populated. |
| Offenses | Charge text, warrants, sentence notes, work release, IDOC, other-county holds, or ICE holds. |
| Arresting agency | Agency tied to the booking or hold, such as the Sheriff's Office, Hailey PD, Ketchum PD, Bellevue Marshal's Office, IDOC, or another county. |
| Booking and release dates | Booking date appears on roster entries; release date appears on recent-arrests entries when released. |
| Status | Observed entries included Pre-Sentenced, Sentenced, and blank status values. |
Blaine County Mugshot Public Records
Idaho does not have one single statute labeled as a mugshot-release law in the research. The relevant rules are the Idaho public-records statutes and the law-enforcement investigatory-record statute. In plain terms, public records are presumed open unless a statute or rule makes an exemption apply, but some law-enforcement records may be withheld or redacted when disclosure would harm an investigation, safety, privacy, or fair-trial interests.
Key Idaho records rules:
Idaho Code 74-102 says public records are open for inspection and copying unless expressly exempt.
Idaho Code 74-103 sets public-record response timing, including the three-working-day response rule for Idaho residents.
Idaho Code 74-124 allows law-enforcement investigatory-record exemptions, while carving out basic arrest information from the investigatory-record definition.
Blaine County's own practice is the most practical proof for ordinary roster users: the county-linked public roster publishes mugshots with basic booking fields. At the same time, it withholds details such as full birth date, full residential address, housing assignment, bond amount, and court date. For a photo or booking record not visible online, the request should go to the Sheriff's Office records process, not to a commercial photo site.
Blaine County Photo Retention
No official Blaine County policy was located that states how long a mugshot remains on the current roster or how long older booking photos remain accessible by public request. The observed recent-arrests page used a short date window and showed both booking and release dates, but that observation is not a formal retention rule. The safest reading is that current roster photos are visible while the entry is published, and recent-arrest photos are visible while the recent feed includes that booking.
What is and isn't public: Blaine County publishes mugshot thumbnails and basic booking fields on the roster and recent-arrests feed. It does not publish full jail files, housing units, bond amounts, full dates of birth, court dates, or federal/ICE photo galleries through that roster.
If an older booking photo is needed, request it from the records custodian with enough detail to locate the booking. Include the full name, approximate booking date, arresting agency, and any court, warrant, or incident number known. Ongoing investigations, pending adjudication, juvenile information, sealed records, privacy interests, safety risks, and other exemptions can affect release.
Request Blaine County Booking Photos
The Sheriff's Office records page is the documented fallback for public information in the Sheriff's Office possession. Accident and offense reports can be requested by involved parties, and public FOIA-style information may be requested in writing. The page states that involved parties may request accident or offense reports free of charge, insurance company report requests cost $5, and discs containing photographs, audio, or video cost $5. If research and processing time exceeds two hours or 100 copies, a fee may apply.
For mugshots, the request should be specific. Ask for the booking photo tied to a named person and booking date, not a broad set of photos. The countywide public-records form warns that sheriff accident, incident, and case reports should go directly to the Sheriff's Office to avoid delay. Call the sheriff main number at 208-788-5555 or the detention line at 208-788-5564 when the request also needs a custody check, jacket number, release status, or bond question.

Blaine County Mugshot Removal
No official Blaine County policy was located that promises removal of a booking photo after dismissal, acquittal, withheld judgment, set-aside, or other case relief. A person seeking a change should use the official record owner and court process rather than paying a third-party publisher. Idaho Code 19-2604 provides certain post-judgment discharge, dismissal, set-aside, amendment, or reduction relief in specified circumstances, but it is not a blanket deletion rule for jail roster images.
When the criminal case itself is the issue, court records and court relief matter more than the photo. A dismissal, amendment, sealed court record, or other relief may need to be documented before a record custodian can evaluate any request tied to a jail image. Custody and booking details are separate from the formal court record; for court status and charge outcomes, use the Idaho court portal and the local court process. A person comparing the booking photo to later charges can use the court-record pathway discussed in Blaine County court records after jail arrest.
State Federal and ICE Mugshots
County jail mugshots are not the same as state prison, federal prison, or immigration locator records. The Blaine County roster can show IDOC holds or ICE holds while a person is in local jail custody. Once the person is received by IDOC, the correct custody path is the IDOC resident/client search. IDOC data covers people on probation, parole, or under IDOC jurisdiction and is updated daily, but it is not a Blaine County booking-photo list.
Federal systems are narrower for public photo access. The BOP inmate locator is for federal sentenced custody and prior BOP records. It does not publish Blaine County booking mugshots. The ICE Online Detainee Locator System is an immigration detainee locator, not a public mugshot gallery. Federal pretrial custody may involve the U.S. Marshals Service District of Idaho and local or regional detention arrangements, but those channels do not turn the county roster into a federal photo database.
| System | Photo Expectation | Use It For |
|---|---|---|
| Blaine County roster | Mugshot thumbnails are published on many public entries. | Current county jail custody and visible local booking data. |
| Blaine County recent arrests | Mugshots may appear with recent bookings and release dates. | Recent bookings, including quick releases. |
| IDOC | State correction records are separate from county booking photos. | Sentenced state custody, probation, parole, and IDOC jurisdiction. |
| BOP | No county-style public mugshot gallery. | Federal sentenced custody and prior BOP records. |
| ICE ODLS | No public mugshot gallery. | Immigration detainee lookup. |
Blaine County Mugshot Channels
The verified access channels for Blaine County jail mugshots are the current roster, the recent-arrests feed, the detention phone line, in-person contact at the sheriff and jail location, and the sheriff records process. IDOC, BOP, ICE, and VINELink help answer custody questions when a person is outside the county jail path, but they should not be expected to show the same booking-photo data.
Idaho Sheriff Connect advertises jail information and sheriff-office information for Idaho users. No official Blaine County source verified a Blaine-specific app-only roster, mugshot search, warrant search, or records request feature. GettingOut is a separate jail service for visitation, tablet messages, photos, video visits, and deposits, not a public mugshot lookup tool.
Note: Use official county and agency channels for booking photos; unofficial paid removal services are not part of the Blaine County records process.
